Peril to Profit™: Goldspire - The Dying Spires
A Tier Two Daggerheart Emergency-Response Adventure of Ancient Magic, Hard Choices, and Corporate Nonsense
Welcome back to Peril to Profit™, the Goldspire Territories’ premier provider of heroic opportunity, magical liability, and forms that waive things no mortal should be allowed to waive. Adventure remains mandatory. Survival continues to be strongly encouraged.
Your crew has successfully completed entry-level contract work and has therefore been reclassified as an emergency-response asset. This prestigious promotion includes greater danger, stricter deadlines, and (pending a compensation review scheduled for the end of the age) exactly the same pay grade.
Please accept our congratulations.
High in the mountains, an ancient Spire’s warning light has begun to fail. The company calls it a service interruption. The people living in its shadow call it a matter of survival.
Your assignment is to climb toward the problem, figure out what is happening, and help the people caught underneath it. If the answer can also be profitable and ethical, management will be thrilled to discover those goals were compatible.
The mountain, of course, has rejected the risk assessment.
Expect hostile terrain, desperate people with complicated reasons, ancient magic under pressure, and creatures that have missed several mandatory safety trainings. Winning the fight may be the easy part. You still have to decide what deserves protection and who gets to claim the solution afterward.
Because in the Goldspire Territories, a disaster is never just a disaster. It is also a market opportunity.
The Dying Spires is a complete one-night Tier 2 adventure about a mountain rescue tangled up with failing magical infrastructure and management’s urgent need for status updates. You will talk your way through some problems, roll dice at others, face strange creatures, and decide what the official report leaves out.
All experience levels are welcome. Tier 2 heroes have more options and the stakes begin higher, but no previous Peril to Profit™ session or Daggerheart experience is required.
Choose a ready-to-play hero and learn the relevant rules at the table.
Clock in for the mountain view. Stay for ancient magic, questionable incentives, heroic chaos, and the moment someone realizes the official emergency plan was “send five contractors.”
